Reality
Watching a caterpillar climb a rock.
Upon that rock looking for its mate.
It's closer and simpler then it will ever be for me.
Smells of a wielder straight ahead of my eyes.
Two grown men, hovering like flies.
Landscapes of green surrounding my hive.
Sitting on a rock vying like a rattler,
Venomous words that could easily spread lies.
My eyes glowing like a fox in the shadows,
Lurking and waiting to pounce on my prey.
Prey that cannot be defined by mere circumstance,
Shifting and becoming a new object each time awoken.
A false sense of hope from the wretched dreams,
Nightfall comes sooner than expected once again.
Where the truth of this starlight comes to terms,
Bending and twisting through all of life’s curves.
